Bro. Michael Boone (Mike)

From The Office of the President

Brother Michael Boone

On behalf of the Brothers of the Kappa Epsilon Lambda Chapter (ΚΕΛ), I welcome you to the website of the 528th House of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Chartered on September 10, 1972, in Prince George’s County, Maryland, ΚΕΛ proudly serves as the alumni advising chapter to the Brothers of the Eta Zeta (ΗΖ) Chapter of the Fraternity, seated at Bowie State University (Bowie, MD).

As we begin the 2026–2027 Fraternal Year, my first as the 27th President of ΚΕΛ, I extend my deepest gratitude to the brothers of our historic chapter for entrusting me with the honor of serving this wing of our great fraternity. I stand firmly on the shoulders of the distinguished leaders who came before me, and I approach this responsibility with humility, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring we remain, “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.”

This fraternal year, I have chosen the theme, “Leading with Integrity, Honor, and Purpose.”  This vision is anchored by seven guiding pillars: Leadership by Example, Brotherhood, Service, Work, Training, Alpha, and Men. These pillars will guide our decisions, strengthen our Brotherhood, and shape our collective efforts throughout the fraternal year—building upon the proud legacy of ΚΕΛ while preparing ourselves to meet the opportunities and challenges ahead.

As you explore our website, I encourage you to learn more about our fraternity, our chapter, our programs, events, and the KEL Education Foundation. Should you have questions or wish to greet us, please feel free to use the “Contact Us” feature. We welcome the opportunity to connect with you.

Fraternally,

Brother Michael Boone, President
Kappa Epsilon Lambda Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
