The Kappa Epsilon Lambda Education Foundation (KELF)
The Kappa Epsilon Lambda Education (KEL) Foundation was incorporated in 1995 as a not-for-profit organization. The Foundation was organized and incorporated to accept and receive donations from the public to use exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.
The typical population we serve is youth, primarily young black males, between the ages of 10 – 18, from low-income homes, who are making poor relationship choices, causing conflicts at home, in school or in their communities; who continually act defiant and have anger management problems, and/or who are susceptible to being involved in crimes. Our model of personal growth for these young men is one that concentrates on continual engagement and interaction with them through our Project Alpha and Alpha Academy mentoring programs.
The strength of our model is based on the concept of responsibility, accountability, respect and the role of males in relationships. We provide services such as mentoring, leadership development, life skills development, counseling, relationship building, financial management, and sexual health education and awareness.
TO THE GREAT MAJORITY, I AM THE TREASURY OF GOOD FELLOWSHIP.
